So I went home for the summer, but now I'm back in Columbia, and I couldn't be happier. It feels like I never left. I had my first lesson yesterday, and it was great just to get back in the saddle. I rode Fancy, who was really good- actually, a bit more go-y than I remember, but still a sweetheart.

Today's lesson was awesome! I was so happy! I love it when it's like that after a lesson!

Anyways, we warmed up, doing flat stuff outside. It was really warm, but you could see the storm clouds and the lightning in the distance. We walked, trotted, and cantered in both directions. Kentucky and I have been having pretty big problems lately. About a month ago we went to a show and everything was fine. I think that's why all this is frustrating me so much.

About three weeks ago when I was ridig during my lesson, he was being a complete jerk. The problem was that I wasn't sure if it was me, or him being a jerk, or him being sore. My lesson last night was incredible. It was such a good feeling. I had been having a mediocre day, and it was awesome to go to the barn and just chill and ride. We rode in the outdoor, because it was in better condition and is bigger (more like the one at the show). It was just a good night.

I never thought I would hear these words come out of someone's mouth, directed at me... but they did!
