We also communicate a lot better, he's starting to know when I'm not in the mood for crap (pardon my french) and responds to that. He also knows when I'm in a good/generous mood and tries to pull things over on me, thinking I'll be in too good of a mood to be mean and make him work (it doesn't work though!)

I have found that I have to constantly be after him on his stuff, but he still tries to get away with stuff! oh well, as long as I keep correcting him and dont give up, I think he'll get better, or at least I hope so! I will continue to work him and I generally do work him hard to correct his issues but sometimes I wander, "Do I work him too hard? Is he happy?" I think he is happy, but I don't know. What about you, have you ever had those feelings?
