I love putting non horse riders on the Equicizer so they can feel the muscles and fitness you need to ride a horse! :)

i know right i've had trouble with friends like that in the past. I'm a quiet person though i usually just think the mean stuff,,,but i certainly wouldn't stay friends with them!

It IS exercise. I am not a skinny person; not fat but I could be skinnier. Riding has helped me turn body fat into muscle and you can feel your muscles working when you ride. It is MUCH more than just sitting there and looking pretty.

well i cant really say some things i do say to people when they talk crap about horseback riding on here...but believe me, i have had my share fair of idiots who know nothing about horses and im not afraid to hold back. i am a nice person and have plenty of friends, but when it comes to my horse...its a WHOLE different story!

I would say the same thing Meghan! Smidget means so much to me and I would probably have to hold myself back from punching her! My friend ( she isn't my friend anymore ) said to me why do you love horses so much?? I said why do you love soccer so much?? She said cause its fun, you get so much muscle!
I looked at her in this blank face! And then she said and its a sport! That's when I really had to hold myself from blowing up on her!! I said in a very pissed voice I get lots of exercise from horse back riding! And it is a sport! It's in the Olymics! Take back all that you just said please! She said ok! And then she said You don't need to get mad about it!!!!!!!!! I said well I am!! How would you like it if some one said soccer isn't a sport you would NOT like it! I walked away from her and we haven't talked since! Oh well I have horse loving barn loving friends anway!!!!!!:P

clairbear, if my "friend" said that too me i would have said, b**** please you dont know the first thing about horses or riding! also im sure im fat when i wear a size 0 in jeans!(i really do) i wouldnt have been afraid to say it to her face either...true friends dont say that kind of crap to you because they know how much it means to you! my friends know not to say that stuff to me because they know how much my horse means to me!

of course like all exercise if you stop chalenging yourself your body doesn't work very hard but still!
