Fly Sprays....what works?

Ok, so where I live, flies during the summer are terrible! And I don't want them bugging my horse while I try to groom and tack him....thats where fly spray is supposed to come in. I have tried cheap and expensive stuff, but it just doesn't seem to work. What do you use that works? Also, what have you tried that doesn't work?

It really works and is all natural it works great for there coat also and makes it soft and shiny. Also another trick i've learned to before they work with there water put in a cup of apple cinder vinegar and when they sweat it out the flies do not like it. You could also feed your horse garlic that helps. If you want something that doesn't work bronco isn't the most effective thing in the world but if you want to buy something equisect has worked for me when i use it.; ▶ Reply to This

Permalink Reply by Shea Johnson on March 13, 2010 at 10:33am: We use Zonk It fly spray at home which seems to work the best or the Repel X stuff that you add water to. and we use feed through pellets (they have garlic and stuff in them i guess) but all the horses in the barn get it so it works well. we also used fly predators once but i didnt see that big a diffrence in the flys. Fans in the stalls help keep the flys off the horses because its hard for the flys to land on the horses when the fans are going.; ▶ Reply to This
